2nd Provincial Lecture Competition announced

Your chance to show off your speaking skills

The Masonic Province of Worcestershire is inviting entrants for the second Provincial Lecture
Competition to be held early in 2017. The first competition, which was the brainchild of the
Provincial Orator, W Bro Jeremy Mallin, received 11 entries when it ran at the start of 2016 and
two winners emerged; one was chosen from those 'below the chair' and one from amongst the Past Masters.

Hagley & Holy Wells Lodge's own David Emery entered the first competition and delivered a
lecture about his experiences as a Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies and a
number of brethren of the lodge attended his lecture to support him. In the bar afterwards W
Bro David was consoled with lots of advice along the lines of 'Never mind, it's not the winning it's the taking part that counts...'
